To Replace a Fountain Pen Cartridge:
1. Remove cap and twist off the top of the pen. Remove the empty ink cartridge.
2. Press the narrow end of the ink cartridge firmly onto the nib (the smallest part of the disassembled pen).
3. Screw the nib with the ink cartridge in place back into the top of the pen.
4. You are ready to write with your fountain pen. If the ink does not flow right away, unscrew and squeeze the ink cartridge very gently. This will activate the ink flow.
To Replace a Rollerball Cartridge:
1. Remove cap and twist off the top of the pen. Remove the empty cartridge and discard.
2. The spring is located in the top of the pen behind the cartridge. Do not throw away the spring. If the spring comes out, place the spring, smaller opening first, into the pen.
3. Place the new cartridge into the pen. Press down until you feel the cartridge join with the spring.
4. Reattach the top of the pen and replace the cap.
To Replace a Ballpoint Cartridge:
1. Twist off the top of the pen from the center.
2. Pull the silver ink cartridge from the base of the pen. Discard the empty cartridge, but do not throw away the spring.
3. Place spring on the tip of the new ink cartridge.
4. Place the cartridge and spring inside the base of the pen.
5. Replace the top half of the pen.
To Replace Pencil Lead:
1. Turn the tip of the pencil counterclockwise to remove.
2. Separate the top and bottom halves and pull out the cartridge.
3. Remove the plastic eraser holder from the top of the cartridge and take out a piece of lead. Replace the plastic piece.
4. Fully retract pin by turning the tip of the pencil.
5. Hold cartridge with the tip up and push lead into the pencil.
6. Turn the tip counter-clockwise until about 1/8" of the lead shows.
7. Carefully turn the pencil over and press down on the lead.
8. Place cartridge in bottom half of the pencil and screw on the tip.
9. Push cap back on securely.
To Replace a Pencil Cartridge:
1. Turn the tip of the pencil counterclockwise to remove.
The pin that pushes the lead down should be fully extended.
2. Separate the top and bottom of the pencil.
3. Remove and discard the empty lead cartridge.
4. Place new cartridge into bottom of pencil and screw on top.
5. Push cap back on securely. |
